Refund policy

 

Thank you for shopping with us. We design and produce every single item in-house, which means we monitor our item quality closely. However, we understand a return may sometimes be necessary.

An item(s) can be returned to us within 30 days of receipt, provided it is in the original condition, unused, unopened, in original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Once your item(s) is returned and received back to us, you will be entitled to an exchange, or a refund for the item cost. If the item(s) is returned after the 30-day period, this will no longer be returnable, exchangeable, or refundable.

For our clothing, we are not able to refund items that have or appear to have been worn, washed, and appear not to be in original condition. The item must be free from any signs of wear and odour.


How to Return

We aim to process your return within 14 days of receipt. Allow for extra time during busy periods.

  • Complete the Return Request in our Return Portal.

  • Enter the email address used for your order. You will receive a 6-digit code via email to log in.

  • Select the product you wish to return/exchange and submit the request.

  • Once we approve your request (usually within 24 hours), you will receive an email.

  • You must print and insert the Return Form in your return parcel.

Make sure to complete the Return Request correctly.

For your protection, we recommend using a tracked delivery service when returning item(s), and ensuring you obtain proof of postage. We cannot accept responsibility for any item(s) that is lost in transit. Please note, return postage costs will not be refunded unless the mistake is on our part (e.g., we sent the wrong item or item is faulty). If an item does not arrive back to us, we will be unable to process the return.

Can You Make Changes to Your Order?

You can make changes to your order within 14 days of order placement. Send us an email at support@hammerandanvil.co.uk with the changes you require.

  • If the value of the item you require is higher, you will need to place an additional order (we will provide a code for the shipping cost to be waived). Once the order is placed, and payment processed, we will refund the value of the item you want to change.

  • If the value of the item you require is lower than the value of the product you ordered, we will refund the difference.

  • If you add items to your order, you will need to place an additional order (we will provide a code for the shipping cost to be waived). We will then create a unique parcel.

We reserve the right to refuse any change request made after the 14-day period post order placement.

If you place an order in error, please contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not yet been shipped, we will cancel it, if possible. However, once the order has been processed and shipped, cancellation is not possible. In this case, we suggest refusing the delivery, and the courier will return the item(s) to us. Once the items are received, we will issue a refund for the cost of the items. Please note that the original shipping fee and return charge will be deducted from your total refund.


Refunds

We are not required to issue a refund until the returned product(s) have been received by us. We strongly recommend sending returns via a secure, tracked delivery service. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost during transit; however, if a tracked service is used, you may raise a claim directly with the courier.

Once your return arrives, the item(s) will be inspected for any damage. If approved, a refund will be processed to your original payment method. You will be notified by email once this has been completed.

Refunds do not include the original shipping cost.

Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund before it appears in your account statement.


Faulty/Damaged or Incorrect Item Received

We recommend checking your order as soon as it arrives. If you notice any defects or damage, please contact us right away. To help us assist you more effectively, kindly send a photo of the issue along with your email to us at support@hammerandanvil.co.uk.

Customers are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of receiving their order if the item(s) are found to be faulty or damaged.

Please note: We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by customer carelessness, including but not limited to wearing, washing, or failing to follow care instructions. Only items with manufacturing faults or errors will be considered for a refund.

While we make every effort to ensure all orders are correct, mistakes can occasionally occur due to human error. If you receive an item that you did not order or purchase, please contact us as soon as possible. You can either choose to keep the item or return it. If you choose to keep it, if the item you paid for was more expensive than the item you receive, the difference in cost will be refunded to you. Otherwise, you can return the item(s) to us (as per the return instruction outlined). The return for an incorrect item must still be sent within the 30-day return period.


Exchanges

We can offer an exchange for an item if this is returned within the 30-day return period. There is an option to complete this information on the Return Request Portal.

We do not offer exchanges with any sale items. All exclusions apply to exchanges.


Exclusions

We are unable to refund/exchange for the following:

  • Items that have been opened or used in any way.

  • Items purchased through a third-party reseller.

  • Any sale items or reduced items.


Courier Cannot Deliver Your Parcel

If the courier or postal service is unable to deliver your items, you will be notified with instructions on how to arrange redelivery or where to pick up your parcel. If the package is not collected, it will be returned to us, the sender. Upon receipt, we will contact you.

If you wish to have the items resent, you must agree to cover the shipping charge and return fee. Alternatively, if you no longer wish to keep the order, the items will be restocked. A direct refund can be issued.

Please note, under no circumstances will we refund the postage charge or return fee that we incur. This amount will either be deducted from your refund or added to the cost of reshipping. You will be informed of these charges via email.
